He was the son of Hans 'Balthasar' Lautenschlager (1684 Haisterbach - 1735 Unter-Mossau)
Philip Lautenschlager arrived at Philadelphia PA in 1749 on Ship Albany. Moved to MD where he died in 1798.
He is known in secular records by what we now call a middle name but in that era it was his call name.
That was part of the Old German Naming Custom.
